What this scheme offers
Haryana pays widows and destitute women ₹3,200 a month, and the pension can start at any age from 18 — a woman does not have to wait for 40 or 60 as under some central schemes. The amount has risen in steps from ₹2,750 (April 2023) to ₹3,000 (January 2024) and ₹3,200 (1 November 2025). The scheme has run since 1980-81. It covers three situations: a widow; a woman with no husband, parents or son; and a woman left destitute by desertion or by the physical or mental incapacity of her husband (if married) or her parents (if not).
