What this scheme offers
Like its counterparts in other states, Madhya Pradesh's construction workers' welfare board is funded by a cess on building projects and exists to give construction labour — masons, bar-benders, carpenters, painters and site labourers — some of the social security that formal employment would normally provide. Registration is the entry point: once registered, workers and their families can claim benefits covering accidents and death, maternity, daughters' marriage, children's education and a pension in old age. Aggregator sources list amounts such as ₹4 lakh on accidental death and a ₹1,000 monthly pension, but these figures come from a single secondary source and change from time to time — confirm the current amounts with the Board before relying on them.
