What this scheme offers
Launched on 1 June 2023, Seekho Kamao Yojana places unemployed youth directly with private and government establishments for structured, on-the-job training across 700+ identified work areas — from manufacturing trades to IT and services. Unlike classroom-only training programmes, trainees work at an actual host establishment, learning practical skills while earning a monthly stipend of ₹8,000 to ₹10,000, with the exact amount depending on the trainee's educational qualification and the training category. After completing training, the scheme supports job placement, with many host establishments retaining well-performing trainees as regular employees.
