Mukhyamantri Ladli Laxmi Yojana

An assurance certificate worth ₹1,43,000 in a Madhya Pradesh girl's name — structured across childhood deposits, school scholarships, and a maturity payment at 21.

What this scheme offers

Launched in 2007 as one of India's earliest girl-child welfare schemes, Ladli Laxmi Yojana issues an assurance certificate in the girl's name worth a total of ₹1,43,000, built from several components: annual deposits totalling ₹30,000 over the first 5 years, school-stage scholarships of ₹2,000 to ₹6,000 at different class levels, a ₹25,000 incentive on entering higher education, tuition fee support during graduation, and a final maturity payment of ₹1,00,000 at age 21 — provided she meets the scheme's ongoing conditions (typically remaining unmarried and continuing education through specified stages). The scheme has been credited with improving Madhya Pradesh's child sex ratio and school enrolment for girls since launch.
