What this scheme offers
Puducherry's distinctive geography — four separate coastal regions rather than one contiguous territory — makes healthcare delivery a genuine administrative challenge, and this scheme is designed to reach BPL families consistently across all of them. It provides cashless treatment at government and empanelled private hospitals, covering major surgeries, cancer treatment, heart surgery, kidney dialysis, organ transplants, and 1,000+ other medical procedures, up to ₹5 lakh per year. Eligible family members receive a health card used to access cashless treatment directly, without needing to pay upfront and claim reimbursement later.
Who is eligible
- Below Poverty Line (BPL) families residing in any of Puducherry's four regions: Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, or Yanam.
- Valid BPL card or equivalent proof of economic status required.

- BPL card
