What this scheme offers
Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana supports the marriages of daughters from poor families in Uttar Pradesh through government-organised mass-marriage ceremonies. Many websites still quote the old ₹51,000 package, but from the 2025-26 financial year the support is ₹1 lakh per couple: ₹60,000 goes directly into the bride's bank account, ₹25,000 is spent on gifts for the couple, and ₹15,000 covers the ceremony arrangements. The income limit was also raised from ₹2 lakh to ₹3 lakh a year. The scheme began on 3 October 2017 and also covers the remarriage of widows and divorced women. Families from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBCs, minorities and economically weaker sections get priority during screening.
