What this scheme offers
Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana, launched on 16 October 2017, protects Madhya Pradesh farmers from selling below the minimum support price. A farmer registers the crop beforehand and sells it at a notified mandi; if the sale price is below MSP, the state pays the difference — but never more than the gap between MSP and the state's modal price, so a very low sale still gets only the MSP-minus-modal payment. Registration alone does not guarantee payment. For the Kharif 2026 soybean crop, registration runs from 3 to 17 October 2026 on the e-Uparjan portal, at MP Online kiosks, CSCs, Public Service Centres and cyber cafés for a maximum fee of ₹50. Sikmi, bataidar, kotwar and forest-lease farmers register only at cooperative society centres, where the Revenue Department verifies every case.
Who is eligible
- A farmer growing the notified crop — for Kharif 2026 this is soybean — on his own or leased land in Madhya Pradesh.
- The farmer must register the crop on e-Uparjan before the registration window closes (3–17 October 2026 for Kharif 2026 soybean).
- The name on the land record (khasra) must match the name on the Aadhaar card; if it does not, the tehsil office verifies it before the registration becomes valid.
- The produce must be sold at a notified mandi; the payment is the gap between MSP and the sale price, capped at MSP minus the modal price.
- Sikmi, bataidar, kotwar and forest-lease farmers register only at cooperative society centres, with 100% revenue verification.
