What this scheme offers
Run through the state's unified Samajik Suraksha Pension Yojana (SSPY) portal, this scheme pays eligible senior citizens ₹1,000 a month, credited quarterly as a ₹3,000 installment via Direct Benefit Transfer. It works alongside the central Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS), which separately provides ₹300/month (age 60-79) or ₹500/month (80+) for BPL families — Uttar Pradesh's payment functions as a state-level supplement on top of, or alongside, that central support, so check whether your total pension reflects both components.
